Orange Hills Country Club is a great 18 hole course in Orange, Connecticut. The Country Club has been around since the beginning of the 20th century, but the golf course opened in 1921. The course is a par 71, has a slope rating of 126 and is made of the best Blue grass in the area. The course was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, a well known golf architect.
Country Club of Fairfield
The Country Club of Fairfield was founded in 1914 by Oliver Gould Jennings and located on a parcel of land ominously nicknamed Mosquito Hill. It consisted of a collection of onion fields that sloped down to a malodorous tidal marsh.

FORE! Lee Westwood ball ends up in a woman's shirt !!!
Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)

The Longest Recorded Drive on an ordinary course is one of 515 yards by Michael Hoke Austin of Los Angeles, California, in the US National Seniors Open Championship at Las Vegas, Nevada on September 25, 1974. Austin drove the ball within a yard of the green on the par 4 450-yard 5th hole of Winterwood Course. It rolled 65 yards past the flag aided by an estimated 35mph tailwind.
